hello there, I am a huge standardbred fan. I have been working with standardbreds for the last 5 years at the track, and every day and I am surprized by the versitility of the breed. I have resently become involved in the creation of the Standardbred Show N shine, BC first standardbred only show to be held June 8th and I am so excitted about showing what standardbred can do. I currently own a 5 yo standardbred mare that I love to death. Last year I took her to some open schooling show and the standardbred games day and she acted like an old pro and I was so proud of her. I plan to take her to more this year. here a couple of pictures of her

Welcome aboard! Pretty pretty girl! She's built a lot like my mare. She's got the same refined head and short coupling with a powerful rear. I wonder if they are related? Marie's by Sonsam. What's your girl's name? Congrats on the all STB show! They are such fun, I love seeing all those saddled STBs in one place.

Peanut, cute! Definately some relatives to my girl, but pretty distant. Your mare's dad, Albert Albert is by Albercrombie by Albatross (who sired Sonsam, Marie's daddy), so they share a granddad/great granddad there. I don't think the Albatross line is what's throwing these gorgeous heads though. Albatross was pretty roman nosed and coarse headed. I see a Meadow Trick back on the dame's side, and I know Marie's mom is by Meadow Skipper, so maybe that line is where the pretty heads are being passed along

I love Albert Alberts, they're one of my favorite breedings. He seems to pass some really nice horses. Great minds and temperaments.

she actually gets the pretty head from her mom, all of her foals have the same refined head as her as does she. (I work for the people who breed her so I would with the brothers/sisters and mom) )
