Would just like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Rachel and I currently own 1 Stb and board another at my place. Over the years I have re homed several either from Kitchener or directly OT. They are amazing animals and deserve much more recognition than they currently get. What a great idea this board is! I live 5 min from Mohawk Racetrack and we often pop over as my girls just love watching them run. Looking forward to coming together as a group to try to spread the word and show people what this breed has to offer once their race career is over (or for many before it even begins) My friend Laura and I were at Kitchener this week and witnessed far too many being bought by the meat men. We were very fortunate to be able to place one the day before he shipped, saving him from an awful end. For this we are proud, but for what goes on elsewhere on a regular basis, I am very sad. Let's get the word out - Standardbred's are wonderful !!!
