Hey there! I'm Jenni, I own two standardbreds they were my first horses and I love them both.
The first is a 6 year old ponybred (hehe yes that's right it's a new breed). He'd adorable and very ponish I love him with all my heart. He's got a tattoo under his girth I got the same one done on my stomach this summer. He doesn't like to jump and canter isn't there yet but that's ok because he's super good at the walk trot dressage stuff and could win any w/t class with almost any one. He does lessons and takes most of the beginners around. I love him..there's not much more I can say he's just my baby.
The other is Eddy he's out of balanced image...sooo if you know standardbreds I'm sure you've already got an idea of Eddy's personality..and your probably about half right. This guy is agressive and fiesty and very bold and beautiful..but he's also got the biggest heart I've seen on any horse. If you're having a bad day and just need to cry on someone's shoulder Eddy's definately that shoulder, he has been for me more than once. Eddy is a very challenging horse to ride because he is super wiggly but once you've mastered 'the wiggle' then you can do anything..really i haven't found his limitations he's been free jumped over 2'6 no problem clearing it at over 3 feet and this was in a very small round pen. Eddy is definately the most athletic horse I know he can jump 3 trot poles at once with ease. LOL he's great! Oh and he also does lessons, but only with very advanced or very beginner (just walk), the wiggle tends to cause big problems for the folks in between lol.

;D I just LOVE hearing people describe Balance Image babies - you can always tell, can't you? I saw one at Kitchener (I'm still kicking myself that I didn't bring him home...) and before they even said who he was by, I knew from the look in his eye. I groomed a Balanced Image (Driving Image) stallion for 6 years and he sounds just like your guy, Jenni. He could be agressive, feisty, and bold but was a beautiful horse who was the biggest suck when you treated him right. He and my boss didn't get along so well so I handled him mostly and we were buddies. I was the only one who could get him to his turnout paddock without a scene and keep him quiet in the racing paddock (he LOVED to hear the sound of himself pawing... ) When I had a few moments, I would just chill with him in his stall and he would give me "hugs" (lay his head on my shoulder...it could get a little heavy... ;D ). If I could've convinced my boss/his owner to give him to me when I left that barn, I would've taken him (where I would've put a stud, I don't know... ). Just thinking about him again makes me want to try and find out where he ended up - he was one of my favourites for sure. Sorry for the novel, I miss my "juggies"!

Welcome Jenni! Do you have pictures of your boys? I'd love to see what a ponybred looks like (ha ha) Sounds more like you're "owned" by two standardbreds, which tends to more often be the case.
