;D Hello every one, some of you may know me from other boards as "Myguyom". OM came to me after he was retired from racing in 1997, he had won over $700,000 for his owner, and as a result, his owner wanted him to have a good retirement. I took him on (he was a freebie!) and slowly we made the trasition from race horse to hunter. Sadly, I had OM euthanized in July of this year, as he was very uncomfortable with arthritis. I miss him very much and think of him every day. For those of you who are registered with Standardbred Canada, and recieve TROT Magazine, there is a lovely article in the December issue of my boy and I; it is entitled "Change of Pace". I love the Standardbred as a breed, they are so willing to please, have a terrific work ethic, and I love the fact that they (99% of them anyway!) have feet of iron. My next horse will most probably be another Standardbred. Here's a few pics of OM:

Aww he's very cute! I'm sorry about him passing away. It sounds like you gave him an amazing life!

I read that lovely article. You really gave him a great life. I think it's great how his previous owner and you stayed in touch.
